As China enhances its development strategy for the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle, Sichuan has implemented new strategic initiatives to deepen international scientific and technological innovation cooperation, offering global companies and technologies excellent opportunities to expand into the western Chinese market.
Aaltoes (Aalto Entrepreneurship Society) has established a robust partnership with Sichuan and Chengdu, particularly through past events such as Junction. This year, Aaltoes aims to further strengthen its collaboration with the Sichuan region by establishing a new platform in Chengdu. This platform will serve as a bridge, connecting Finnish startups and the Finnish industrial ecosystem in China with the Sichuan region.
Directed by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Aaltoes, in collaboration with the Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone and the National Technology Transfer Southwest Center of China, and with the support of partner institutions in Sichuan and Finland, will host the Silkway Chengdu 2025 & Sichuan-Finland Science and Technology Innovation Industry Forum. This event aims to provide Finnish companies with the latest business opportunities, support policies, and pilot scenarios in Sichuan. The event invites Finnish tech companies to participate, fostering supply and demand collaboration with Sichuan and exploring future collaboration mechanisms. It will also invite local funds and cutting-edge companies from Chengdu and Sichuan with collaboration interests in Finland and Europe to attend and present on-site demonstrations.
