To support national-level economic and technological developmentzones in developing new quality productive forces in light of localconditions, enhancing the level of open economy, and promoting in-ternational cooperation between Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area (NETDA) and European enterprises in green andlow-carbon development, intelligent manufacturing, life health andother sectors, the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce of China (CIPA) and the Management Committee of NETDA plan to organize the "Dialogue between European Enterpris-es and Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area"event on Monday, November 9, 2026, in Nantong, Jiangsu Province.

Leveraging its geographical and industrial advantages on the north-em wing of the Yangtze River Delta, Nantong has become one of thekey hubs for European enterprises. Nantong has attracted Scania of Sweden to set up its third global production base with a total invest-ment exceeding RMB 10 billion, covering complete vehicles, powertrain and R&D. Merck of Germany has made cumulative investmentof over RMB 3.3 billion, accounting for more than half of its total in-vestment in China. Maritime enterprises including Wartsila of Finland have participated in the Nantong Marine Equipment Exhibition for three consecutive years, conducting in-depth exchanges on new-fuel power systems.

This event will feature site visits. roundtable discussions and busi-ness matchmaking. Pre-event demandmatching. on-siteface-to-face talks and post-event follow-up on cooperation intentionswill be arranged to foster pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and European enterprises in priortty areas: green and low-carbon, in-telligent manufacturing and life and health industries.

There is no participation fee for this event. The organizer providesround-trip shuttle service between Shanghai and Nantong.
